Today, The Troubadour’s Road is proud to feature Colorado’s own, Daniel Rodriguez, and the title track of his album, “Sojourn of a Burning Sun,” which came out August, 28, 2020, through Renew Records. The song was written by Rodriguez and the video was directed and edited by Jesse R. Borrell, of NOCOAST. This will be one, of many, songs featured off this incredible album.
Rodriguez is a true troubadour, which is defined as “a poet that writes verse to music.” He lets us in with his carefully crafted words and brings us along for the ride. He writes in, “Sojourn of a Burning Sun,” ” Our lungs – they are breathing life. Our hearts are beating drums in the wake of the static splash of the sojourn of a burning sun.” Music fans are fortunate for such an opportunity. There have been many trials and tribulations that led him to this album, yet the accomplishment of these songs have made it one of the best albums of 2020. He has walked down the troubadour’s road, braved the storm and one can only hope that when he looks up, that the path ahead is shining, beyond bright.
Music fans don’t have to wait very long to see him perform, as he has two shows (socially distanced and safe) in Paonia, Colorado, through the Live Music Still Soothes the Soul Series (tickets can be purchased here), presented by the Paradise Theater and Pickin’ Productions.
